There is only one thing I'll never ever do when attending online game conventions, and that is to cosplay as someone from an old console game, only to be mistaken as a brawler from RAN Online. LOL
As far as I'm concerned, POGS was an event that caters to the interest of online gamers ALONE. With me being an inactive online gamer, I'd rather play console games, because the characters in console games are more established in the video game industry, in my honest opinion.
Anyway, my purpose for going to the event was to take photos and meet with some online buddies and cosplayers. Yes, I met them in person, and reunited with some: Trizsa, Sachi, Yabee, Geboy, Chester, Yuriko, Karla, Yui, Sasa, Herson, Jyoan, "Trinity" (di ko nalaman ang pangalan niya e) and Marky. but about the photos, well, um...let's just say we had an accident, and two of those online buddies of mine deleted all the ESSENTIAL photos I took.
Hahaha, while that was happening, I was playing Tekken 5: Dark Resurrection on the arcade machine. I was careless to lend them the camera.
Hindi maamin nina Trizsa at Sachi at first, so I had to convince them na hindi ako magagalit, to whatever they were going to tell me. Then they admitted their crime. So being the rational person that I am, at unang pagkikita pa lang namin nun, I forgave them. Ampangit naman ata nun, kakakila-kilala pa lang namin, away agad. And it's no big deal after all. Mas masaya yatang mang-grab ng pics sa ibang Multiply users. XD
So there. I wasn't able to enjoy much at POGS, since I also lost the stamp thingy. Because of that, I lost my purpose for playing their online games. I don't play anyway, so what the heck? And what for? Another loot bag with some extra? E andami ko na ngang dala that day, dadagdagan ko pa ba? LOL
What's more memorable for me wasn't the POGS event, but the cosplay. Heck, the organizers didn't even organize it right. They were only supposed to allow cosplayers whose characters are from the online games they promote, but most of the cosplayers who arrived only had anime and console video game characters for cosplay. At the last minute, they were allowed to sign up anyway.
What's more annoying was the host. Hindi na nga gaanong kilala ang character na kinosplay ko (si Hideo nga pala ako ulit), hindi pa ako pinakilala; he plainly said my real name when I was at the catwalk. The organizers misunderstood me when I asked them to say my first and last name; talagang yung first and last names ko lang ang sinabi ng lokong host! So pagkapunta ko sa mic, here's the only thing I said:
"Sabi na nga ba, hindi niya ako kilala e."
Anyway, POGS was somewhat a blast for me, thanks to the cosplayers. Apart from that, I didn't enjoy the program at all. So maybe I won't attend the next POGS.
By the way, it was my first time going to TriNoma! XD
