for everyone
So, with all that SONA and shit, today's classes were all suspended, so I thought of an excusable alibi para makapunta ng UP. And indeed I was able to make an excuse. After all, naghiwa na naman ako ng patatas at carrots na pang-ulam nila, at nagawa ko na rin ang project ng kapatid naming bunso, so I have nothing to do at home. Hindi ko pa feel kulayan si Chibi Saber, anyway. Hehehe

So I went to UP, at on the way, nadaanan ng bus na sinasakyan ko yung rally area sa bandang Ever Gotesco at Sandiganbayan. Good thing walang traffic, as the QC government took care of that. Kudos, Mayor Belmonte!

Anyway, I checked out the FC steps to see the AME apps meeting for the acquaintance party. Hiks (or should I say Jean) arrived shortly pero sandali lang din nandoon. (Hahaha, wala lang, she is one of those apps that are somewhat close to me, aside from Mikai, Wilfred, Ramil, John and some others)

I was not supposed to hear what they are talking about, as it's the apps and MEMCOM's secret. They were just talking about what foods to bring on that occasion, pero I didn't bother offering my side. After all, theirs are all the decisions, so I just drew, and later on got to finish sketching classic Kane. LOL

Anyway, nang makumpleto na ang "banda" (Mikai, Wilfred, Ramil and apparently myself), nagpaalam na kami sa ibang apps at kay Rach (nandun din siya) and fetched Brian sa McDo Katipunan, then went straight to The Blue Room. For an hour kami, or I mean, sila, nag-rehearse ng mga ipe-perform nila sa acquaintance party, that's going to be held at Kublai's Katipunan.

Dalawang songs lang ang na-practice, yung Houki Boshi ng Bleach at yung theme song ng Batibot. LOL Wilfred was at the bass guitar, Ramil was at the drums, Brian was at the piano, Mikai was at the mic, and I was at the camera. Hehehe, so syempre hanap ako nang hanap ng good camera angles, though I'm a n00b at it.

At first, the practice did not go smoothly, dahil kinakapa pa lang daw ulit ni Ramil yung drums. Sabi niya kasi, it's been so long since he touched the drums. Then enter Mr. Cameraman. I just thought to myself na wala lang, I want to try the drums, so Ramil handed me the sticks. At nang ako na'ng nakaupo sa drummer's seat...

WHAT. THE. FUCK.

Nagulat daw silang apat. They didn't think I could hold the sticks and use them accordingly. Even I myself was surprised. That was my first-ever hands-on on a drum set, at Houki Boshi pa ang nire-rehearse namin, for crying out loud!!!

Promise, ang sakit sa binti nu'ng pagtapak as bass drum. At hindi pa synchronized ang right hand and foot ko, though overall, consistent naman daw and beat ko. Hehehe

Then Batibot comes next. Sabi ni Wilfred, wala raw silang male vocalist, so he insisted on enlisting my "service" LOL. My dilemma was that this was supposed to be batch 7's acquaintance party, at apps lang dapat ang involved with everything. But since the band is in "desperate" need of a male vocalist at one week na lang ang preparation, sabi ko, GO! After all, this would be a renewing experience for me too. Well, in the first place, it was I who requested them to perform some nostalgic songs. XP

This jam session was truly exhilarating, even for me. I didn't believe even for one second that I'd be drumming to Houki Boshi. Ewan ko lang talaga kung kaya ko. Pulikatin pa naman ako sa paa. At biruin mo, because of the experience, parang gusto ko tuloy mag-practice even more! Hehehe
