Tomorrow. It's the dreaded day. The date of the biggest annual event UP AME holds. This year, it's called "AME Gakuensai: Ang AMEng School Fair!"
It's aptly named so because this year, the theme of the fair is "Japanese high school fair". Just by the theme, I can't wait to see it. But of course, I will: I'm required to see it, for crying out loud!
Anyway, as I said in my previous blog, this time it will be different for me, as I'll be one of the guys handling the arcade tournament. (Well, I hope that doesn't change tomorrow.) I can't wait to go in there and
play to my heart's content do my new job, and in an "AME Gakuen" uniform too. (If I said school uniform, it would have been redundant, as
gakuen means
academy or
high school. LOL)
And what's more this time, I got to borrow a digital camera to catch every WTF moment on picture. But the question is, would I be able to do so, when I'm proverbially "locked up in Big Brother's house"? (Pota, pa'no naman nadamay si Kuya dito? LOL ulit)
But the bigger news than this whole affair is
the entry of the typhoon Mitag in the Philippine area of responsibility. I don't know, but it's been a trend that when AME holds an official org activity, it rains. But this time,
it's a f***in' storm!Could this be a sign that this anime fair will bring the whole Filipino anime community by storm? (pun intended) As bad as I wish that weather prediction to be nothing but a fabrication, it can't, because it came from PAGASA itself, and it means it's legit. (But there was a time that PAGASA screwed up at a storm prediction, wasn't there?)
But my forecast is, rain (or storm) or shine, AME Gakuensai will live up to its hype.
いくぞ
U.P.雨!
