It's Rockman's 20th Anniversary! Let all Rockman fans celebrate! (Lalo na ako, dahil technically, kasing-edad ko si Rockman! Hehehe)
I can still remember the Rockman games I played, though hindi ko sila nalaro in correct chronology, dahil Rockman 3 ang una kong nalaro. I finished that game when I was in Grade 2 or so. My favorite weapon back then was his Top Spin. Nasa San Juan pa kami nakatira noon, at ang PS2 ko noon ay Family Computer pa.
Then yung Rockman 5 naman nung Grade 3. Natuwa ako dun sa Charged Shot, pero di ko alam nun na sa Rockman 4 nagsimula yun. Hindi ko naman nalaro yung Rockman 4 until mabili ko yung Rockman Anniversary Collection for my PS2 nung 2007.
Tapos, nasubukan kong laruin yung Rockman 7 sa isang paarkilahan ng SNES sa may Agora. Ten pesos per half hour ang bayad nu'n, but being a young kid, di ko natapos yun. The same goes for Rockman X.
Grade 4 ako nung unang beses kong nalaro yung unang Rockman, pero hindi ko natapos. Kumag kasi yung Yellow Devil sa stage ni Dr. Wily e, kaya tinamad na'ko.
Tapos nung mga bandang 1998, lumabas ang PlayStation. Dun sa Agora ko rin na-preview yung Rockman X4. Si Zero pa nga ang ginamit ko nun dahil nalupitan ako as espada niya. It was around the same year na na-preview ko yung racing game na Rockman: Battle & Chase.
Then yung Rockman 6 naman. Natapos ko naman yun, pero dito na sa Bulacan kami nakatira nun. When we bought our own PlayStation, kasama sa package yung Rockman 8 X4, so nalaro at natapos ko na rin finally yung dalawa. Then Rockman X5 and X6 followed.
Then years later the PlayStation2 emerged, and later on so did Rockman X7. I never got to play that game, since I thought that the idea of making it 3D-scrolling sucked. Then about a year later came out Rockman X8. That was the final Rockman game I devouted my serious time.
Then later still, I saw and bought Rockman Anniversary Collection (as I previously stated), then months later yung Rockman X Anniversary Collection naman. In the former, I unlocked the two Rockman arcade games. In the latter, I got the chance to finish Rockman X through X3. I also re-played X4 through X6 while I was at it. Hindi ko kasi maa-unlock yung Battle & Chase game pag hindi ko tinapos lahat ng games e. Hahaha
I also had SNES and GBA emulators for my PC, so dinownload ko agad yung Rockman 7, Rockman.EXE at Rockman Zero games. But then again, since I'm more busy with other Internet stuff, yung utol ko na lang ang nag-aadik sa mga yun. By the time I'm finishing this post, he's playing Rockman.EXE. Hehehe
So there's my history with Rockman. Happy birthday ulit pare! Magka-edad lang pala tayo? Hahahaha
