for everyone
I really had a blast at ToyCon, especially on Day 2. It's worth all the sweat, because my friends came along with me (rather, I came along with them) to spend those two days. Not only that, I feel proud to be the first-ever Barry Burton cosplayer. (Though I didn't feel as proud as when I cosplayed as Mr. Karate. LOL)

But let's get back to reality, shall we?

Last Wednesday a representative from CONVERGYS contacted me through my mobile phone, asking if I'm still interested in applying for their company as a customer service representative (euphemism for call center agent). I didn't expect them to call me so soon. Anyway, I said I'm still interested and she invited me to go to their office from 9 to 4 just beside St. Peter's Parish in Commonwealth.

And later that night, ANOTHER representative, this time from SITEL also called me through my phone, asking the same question! She also invited me to come to their office in Libis at the same time slot! How about that?

I don't know if what I did was right, but I honestly told her that another company has inquired about my application and told me to come to their office; I sort of respectfully declined her invitation. Then after saying that, she told me that she will call me again should there be job vacancies available for me.

The next day, I went to CONVERGYS and pursued my application. I arrived at around 12 and I saw a lot of hopefuls. It was already around 2:30 when I was called for the initial interview; we were interviewed by batches of five. We were asked about educational background, work experiences and the like. We were also made to describe pictures and read paragraphs. It went good for me, I don't know about a certain applicant who went with us. I don't mean to brag, but if I were to play like Simon Cowell, her grammar is hideous. I won't wonder if she failed, and I would if she didn't!

And so I passed the initial interview, and fifteen minutes later, I was made to take a written examination, testing my English and technical/computer skills. I did fine on the written test, being a constant computer user and a frustrated blogger in English.

I finished the exam quickly, and I was told to return the next day for the continuation; it was around 5 already...

AND I DID NOT ATTEND YET ANOTHER SESSION IN OUR 2D ANIMATION CLASS, GAWDEMMIT! >_<

Then yesterday was the practical computer skills test; we were tested for our typing speed and accuracy, e-mail composition and order taking skills, etc. I breezed through the test, and I'm confident I passed it, not to mention, quickly. Then there's the call center simulation test, in which I think I did pretty good too.

The seemingly hard part of the exam was the Ordinate test, where I was made to actualize a phone conversation. They made me answer questions, repeat or unjumble phrases, read sentences, and so on. It also pressured me on answering a certain question in just twenty seconds. I would have done good, if the "repeat the sentence" segment consisted of sentences that are not so complicatedly long.

After the ordeal, I awaited the result, and they told me to return next Wednesday for the final interview. Bah, another interview! XD I hope I don't screw up as much as I did on the initial.

Wish me luck, because this will determine my fate as a cosplayer! LOL hopefully help me financially in the future.

And if I did pass and get my first salary, magpapa-burger ako! BURGER! BURGER! BURGER! BURGER! LOL
