I am astounded how TV journalists broadcast big news. Nakita ko kagabi sa TV Patrol World ang balita about Chris Benoit and his family being found dead at their home, complete with the details as to how the crime was committed and classified as a double homicide-suicide. Kumpleto pati flashback nu'ng nanggaling sila dito for the SmackDown tour last year.
Bakit kaya ganun, kung kelan may something big about wrestling, tsaka lang nila ibabalita. What's more disappointing in general is that, they're thinking they were the first to do so. Sana kung laging kasimbigat at importante ng mga balitang gaya nito (the Benoit news is important to me as I am a wrestling fan) ang ibino-broadcast nila, magiging mas credible pa sila, but NO!
Laging mainly about showbiz (more specifically, news about their station's actors and showbiz gossips) at mga random street crimes ang nababalitaan ko sa TV. What's more irritating, the most articulate Tagalog word I can hear in the local news program since the day I was born is PATAY! Bakit ba hindi maging mas credible ang newscasting in the Philippines?

We have now apparently learned about what happened to Chris Benoit and his family, and who did the deed. But still I myself refuse to believe, because I don't see him wanting to do what he "did". Personally, if the results of the investigations were true, those don't change the fact that Chris will be remembered as one of the pioneers of technical wrestling, and many fans loved him for busting his ass just to entertain us.
What I want to say is that, don't condemn Chris Benoit; condemn the crime he committed. But that's entirely a different case if someone you don't even know were to commit it against you.
