for everyone
I really had a blast at ToyCon, especially on Day 2. It's worth all the sweat, because my friends came along with me (rather, I came along with them) to spend those two days. Not only that, I feel proud to be the first-ever Barry Burton cosplayer. (Though I didn't feel as proud as when I cosplayed as Mr. Karate. LOL)

But let's get back to reality, shall we?

Last Wednesday a representative from CONVERGYS contacted me through my mobile phone, asking if I'm still interested in applying for their company as a customer service representative (euphemism for call center agent). I didn't expect them to call me so soon. Anyway, I said I'm still interested and she invited me to go to their office from 9 to 4 just beside St. Peter's Parish in Commonwealth.

And later that night, ANOTHER representative, this time from SITEL also called me through my phone, asking the same question! She also invited me to come to their office in Libis at the same time slot! How about that?

I don't know if what I did was right, but I honestly told her that another company has inquired about my application and told me to come to their office; I sort of respectfully declined her invitation. Then after saying that, she told me that she will call me again should there be job vacancies available for me.

:bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple:

The next day, I went to CONVERGYS and pursued my application. I arrived at around 12 and I saw a lot of hopefuls. It was already around 2:30 when I was called for the initial interview; we were interviewed by batches of five. We were asked about educational background, work experiences and the like. We were also made to describe pictures and read paragraphs. It went good for me, I don't know about a certain applicant who went with us. I don't mean to brag, but if I were to play like Simon Cowell, her grammar is hideous. I won't wonder if she failed, and I would if she didn't!

And so I passed the initial interview, and fifteen minutes later, I was made to take a written examination, testing my English and technical/computer skills. I did fine on the written test, being a constant computer user and a frustrated blogger in English.

I finished the exam quickly, and I was told to return the next day for the continuation; it was around 5 already...

AND I DID NOT ATTEND YET ANOTHER SESSION IN OUR 2D ANIMATION CLASS, GAWDEMMIT! >_<

:bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple:

Then yesterday was the practical computer skills test; we were tested for our typing speed and accuracy, e-mail composition and order taking skills, etc. I breezed through the test, and I'm confident I passed it, not to mention, quickly. Then there's the call center simulation test, in which I think I did pretty good too.

The seemingly hard part of the exam was the Ordinate test, where I was made to actualize a phone conversation. They made me answer questions, repeat or unjumble phrases, read sentences, and so on. It also pressured me on answering a certain question in just twenty seconds. I would have done good, if the "repeat the sentence" segment consisted of sentences that are not so complicatedly long.

:bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple:

After the ordeal, I awaited the result, and they told me to return next Wednesday for the final interview. Bah, another interview! XD I hope I don't screw up as much as I did on the initial.

Wish me luck, because this will determine my fate as a cosplayer! LOL hopefully help me financially in the future.

And if I did pass and get my first salary, magpapa-burger ako! BURGER! BURGER! BURGER! BURGER! LOL

Finally, I am now officially a UP student on leave-of-absence.

After two weeks of paperworks and long walks, I have finally fulfilled the requirements for me to go on with my leave.

But still, I can't help but think why I had to pay even when I'm not enrolling this year. I know some things in this world are not for free, but why even this?

For the first time, I missed my class in KORPHIL. And the reason was that I was in UP finalizing my LOA papers. I was assuming that the signatories were all free so I could just ask for their darn signatures, but no. Everytime I went to UP to gather the necessary signatures, it's either it's lunch break, or the person is in the middle of the meeting, or he's not there period. That's why one day of paperwork ended up being finished in a week and some more.

:bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple:

Somehow our animation project in KORPHIL is slowly taking shape, but you can't deny the fact that it's still not concretized yet. We are still having difficulty in designing our characters for our project, because our instructor wants us to produce a design that is Filipino.

I personally admit that my style is based from the amalgamation of Western and Oriental (i.e. anime) styles, and we can't possibly produce what our instructor wants. At least not yet.

He says we can't really differentiate Filipino animation from the Japanese and American animations because the "history" of Filipino animation is vague, or if I say it in my terms, nonexistent. Because what I see is that yes, there are Filipino animators out there, but their style doesn't show the Filipino identity. It's hard to admit that I myself can't try to innovate from these to make "the Filipino animation". And if ever, it all starts with our class.

Bah, good luck to us.

It's either it was a bad timing, or it wasn't meant for me. I'm pertaining to the call center job I was applying for. I had submitted my resume to three companies I know (IBM Daksh, Sitel, and what was the other one again?), and so far there were no response...

Until later today.

A representative from IBM Daksh called me and asked if he could conduct an interview of sorts with me. Well, I was okay with that...

IF ONLY I WASN'T TAKING A BATH WHILE HE CALLED!

Tsk tsk tsk. There goes one possible internship. But he told me that he would call me again tomorrow, so I'll expect it. Anyway, There's still two other options.

:bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple:

I want to attend TOYCON! Hell, even if I'm still not legitimately permitted to go, I'm already doing my preparations.

I am pertaining to my preparations to being a "Hard Bouncer". LOL Hard Gay Philippines (AKA Patrick) sent his contacts a group message asking if anyone wants to be his "bouncers" for TOYCON: it was his idea that sprung from the bouncer incident at M3. I thought I might as well join the fun, and while at it, bounce! LOL

And also, Mel (Asuka Kazama from Ozine's Tekken Group) and Sheila (Julia Chang from the same group) asked me if I can participate in their planned group cosplay photoshoot with Resident Evil as their theme. I was reluctant at first, but thought I should go for me to get to know them better. And from the photoshoot plan came out the group cosplay plan for TOYCON. Now I have no excuses for not coming AND for attending the event.

:bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple:

I have just bought a Bluetooth USB device for my computer. It was worth P250. After getting my hands on the device, I though I could finally post the photos from my cell phone. However, the darn thing doesn't freakin' work!

I;ve already installed the program for the Bluetooth service, but the computer doesn't detect the device, nor does it recognize it. Man, do I feel frustrated about it.

The device still got a three-month repair warranty and a seven-day replacement warranty. If that's the case, they should be ashamed that I'm returning the damn device just one day after purchasing it!

:bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple::bulletred::bulletblue::bulletgreen::bulletpurple:

Okay, enough for tonight, antok nako.
